Popular swimming spot in the Comox Valley include Stotan Falls on the Puntledge River, Comox Lake, Saratoga Beach, Goose Spit, Miracle Beach, Nymph Falls, Kye Bay, Trent River and Tribune Bay on beautiful Hornby Island.
Kye Bay: Offers beautiful sandy beaches and many shallow tidal pools perfect for the kids. Follow Ryan Rd till you get to the very end (at the base) and turn right on Pritchard. Follow along till you get to the next main intersection and turn right (Knight Rd). This road will lead you right to the beach.
Comox Lake: Perfect swimming beaches.
Rope and Cliff Jumping. Beautiful campgrounds, boat launch, and Waterskiing.
Directions: Drive to Cumberland follow Dunsmuir Road onto Comox Lake Road, follow it to the end.
Tribune Bay: Beautiful white sandy beaches, surround by campgrounds. Offers shallow tidal pools: Take the ferry from Buckley Bay to Denman Island which connects to Hornby Island. The road is very well sign posted to Tribune. Watch ferry timetable if your making a day trip, last ferry runs 6pm.
Puntledge River: The Puntledge River offers a very popular tubing area, as well as canoeing, swimming, bird watching and fishing opportunities. From Courtenay, follow Lake Trail Road, turn left at Comox Lake Main and proceed to Comox Lake Reservoir. Watch for directional signs after crossing the bridge at the outlet of Comox Lake Reservoir.

Puntledge Greenway
This greenway links significant existing parks with others along the scenic landscape of the Puntledge River. One can enjoy the beautyof Puntledge Park and use it as a starting point for a memorable stroll along the rest of the greenway. A significant section of this greenway has been completed by the Courtenay Rotary Club. The Rotary Riverside Trail allows public access from Rod & Gun Road, through to the corner of First Street and Arden Road. The greenway can also be accessed through Bear James Park. With Cinder trails, walking bridges and view points throughout.

Accessible from Arden Road, Embleton Crescent, Lake Trail Road and Puntledge Park School.

Valley View Greenway
This East Courtenay Greenway allows for residents to enjoy the natural landscape of Hurford Hill Nature Park and walk along the Mallard Stream.
Soft surfaced trail with many foot bridges and natural view areas.
Courtenay Riverway (Air Park)
Located on the Courtenay River Estuary, accessible from the Marina Park lower 20th Street.
Spectacular views of Georgia Strait, the Comox Glacier, the Beaufort and coastal mountain ranges. Wildlife viewing decks.
